Shedd Adventures

Shedd Travel Program

Shedd Adventures are custom-designed programs for Shedd members. They cater to your love of nature and the outdoors, your curiosity about wildlife and wild places, and your quest for personally meaningful travel.

Beginning in 2013, Shedd Adventures will offer incomparable opportunities to see and experience your favorite animals — such as beluga whales, sea turtles and rainbow-hued reef fishes — in their pristine wild habitats. Shedd Adventures focuses on animals and regions of the world that have intrigued and inspired you during Shedd visits. Now gain a deeper connection to the aquatic world — and the memories of a lifetime — with Shedd Adventures.

Total-Immersion Travel
Shedd Adventures will be packed with the activities you want for experiencing wildlife and wild places. From hiking, bird watching and exploring by small motorboat to kayaking, swimming, snorkeling and, on some trips, assisting with Shedd’s conservation fieldwork, you’ll be immersed in the wonders of each locale. Guiding you will be a Shedd naturalist familiar with the region and its animals, ensuring you the most intellectually fulfilling experience. The small group size guarantees plenty of time to explore, inquire and learn in the camaraderie of other nature lovers. And while you’ll probably get your feet wet during each day’s adventures, you’ll settle into premium accommodations, whether on land or water, at day’s end.
