DID YOU KNOW?

A bright idea As the days get shorter and your lights are on longer, install energy-efficient compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) and LED bulbs in your fixtures. Check your hardware store for sales and rebates. Reducing energy use helps keep the Great Lakes clean. (Less demand = less production = less pollution.) Oh, and did we say that you'll save money on your electric bill?

Nearly 97 percent of the Earth’s water is salty or undrinkable. Another 2 percent is locked in ice caps and glaciers. That leaves 1 percent that is fresh water for all life on Earth.
