Illinois Resident Discount Days
On our Illinois Resident Discount Days, Illinois residents can enjoy free general admission. This includes the Waters of the World, Amazon Rising, and the Caribbean Reef. Packages including Wild Reef, Polar Play Zone and Abbott Oceanarium are available to Illinois residents at a discounted rate. Shedd's 52 discount days a year take advantage of civic and school holidays to make family visits more convenient.

Bank of America's Museums on Us Program
Visitors who present a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch ATM, credit or debit card, along with photo identification, will receive one free mini-pass admission on the first full weekend of each month. Admission benefits are not transferable and are valid for the cardholder only. This offer is not valid during special events or for admission to the 4-D theater. Upgrade your ticket to include the Abbott Oceanarium for an additional $6.95.

Resident Discount
Residents of the city of Chicago receive a $3 discount on admission every day, except Illinois Resident Discount Days. Must present vaild ID.

Educator Discount
Educators from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin can visit Shedd for free by registering for a pass online.

If you’re outside of our four-state area but would still like to learn more about connecting your curriculum to the living world, you can receive $3 off admission to Shedd by showing a valid school I.D. or current paystub at a cashier station when you buy your ticket.

Other Discounts
We offer a discount to active-duty military personnel and Chicago police officers and firefighters. With proper ID, you will receive discounted admission to the aquarium, Abbott Oceanarium and Wild Reef (equivalent to a Shedd Pass).

Students and senior citizens receive a $3 discount on admission every day, except Illinois Resident Discount Days.

Membership
Shedd is a happening place because our donors and members make things happen. There are some great perks including discounts on programming and free admission for a year.

Great Kids Museums Passports
A Great Kids Museum Passport is good for two adults and two children for general aquarium admission only. Find them at Chicago Public Library branches. Passes should be presented in the general admission line.

Corporate Members Discount
If your employer belongs to our corporate membership program, you may qualify for free or discounted admission to the aquarium.

This Saturday, McFetridge Drive will be closed until about 11:30 a.m. for a large fundraising walk. Get alternate directions to parking and Shedd.
